Privacy Policy

What we collect

The content you put into your resume (your name, contact details, work history, and anything else you type or upload, including an optional photo) is stored so your resume can be edited and downloaded. If you create an account, we also store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text.

If you send a message through the contact page, we store your name, email address, subject, and message so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Cookies

We set a first-party cookie (anon_id) so a resume you build without an account can still be found and edited later in the same browser. It contains only a randomly generated identifier — no personal information — and lasts about 400 days. If you log in, we also set a standard session cookie to keep you signed in. Analytics and advertising

Craftume does not use third-party analytics or advertising by default. The site owner can optionally enable Google Analytics and/or Google AdSense from the admin settings panel — if that's ever turned on, this section (and the Cookie Policy) will reflect it, and those services' own privacy practices apply to the data they collect (see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data). Nothing here is enabled silently: both are off unless explicitly configured.

How we use your data

Your resume content is used only to render and let you download your own resume. We do not sell your personal data. If analytics is enabled (see above), aggregate, anonymized usage data helps us understand which features are useful — it is never combined with the content of your resume.

Deleting your data

If you have an account, you can permanently delete it and its data at any time from your profile settings. If you used the builder without an account, clearing the anon_id cookie (or clearing your browser's cookies) disconnects your browser from any resumes you built — contact us if you'd like them deleted from our servers directly.

Children's privacy

Craftume is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
