What we collect

The content you put into your resume (your name, contact details, work history, and anything else you type or upload, including an optional photo) is stored so your resume can be edited and downloaded. If you create an account, we also store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text.

If you send a message through the contact page, we store your name, email address, subject, and message so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Cookies

We set a first-party cookie (anon_id) so a resume you build without an account can still be found and edited later in the same browser. It contains only a randomly generated identifier — no personal information — and lasts about 400 days. We also set a standard session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie. Google AdSense and Google Analytics set their own cookies, described below. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Craftume is free to use and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads on this site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), ads are only personalized with your consent; otherwise non-personalized ads may be shown. Ads never unlock or gate any feature of the builder.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (which pages and tools are visited). Google Analytics sets its own cookies; see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data.

How we use your data

Your resume content is used only to render and let you download your own resume. We do not sell your personal data, and the content of your resume is never shared with advertisers or combined with analytics data.

Deleting your data

If you have an account, you can permanently delete it and its data at any time from your profile settings. If you used the builder without an account, clearing the anon_id cookie (or clearing your browser's cookies) disconnects your browser from any resumes you built — contact us if you'd like them deleted from our servers directly.

Children's privacy

Craftume is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
