What this checks
The same five essentials the builder's own "Resume Strength" meter checks — contact details, a professional summary, work experience, education, and skills — plus a further pass for things like a summary that's too short to say anything, experience with no description, too few skills listed, an empty custom section, or a resume that's grown very long.

Reading the suggestions list
The checklist covers the same five essentials as the score — contact, summary, experience, education, skills — but the suggestions underneath go further, calling out things like an experience entry with no bullet points at all, or a skills section with only two or three entries. Work through them from the top rather than picking at random; several later suggestions resolve earlier ones as a side effect, since adding real detail to a thin experience entry also moves the overall score.
A worked example
Say the checker reports a score of 60% with "Your summary is very short" and "One experience entry has no description" flagged. Adding two sentences to the summary and three bullet points to that one job is often enough to push the score into the 80s — small, specific fixes usually move the needle more than a full rewrite would.

Does a 100% score mean my resume is good?
It means the essentials are present — contact info, a summary with real content, experience with descriptions, education, and skills. It doesn't grade writing quality, so a resume can score 100% and still read weakly. Pair a high score with your own judgment or a second reader.
I uploaded my resume and the score seems lower than expected. Why?
The check runs against how your resume imports and parses, not the original file's visual layout. If your file uses a complex format that doesn't import cleanly, some content can land in the wrong section or get missed — check the import warnings shown after upload, or run the check against a resume already built in this app instead.
What counts as "experience with no detail"?
An experience entry that has a title, company, and dates but no bullet points describing what you actually did in the role.
